MY REVIEW:

I had not read previously the other books in the Only One series but was intrigued by the thriller and the whole crime side of the plot. Adelia is bringing up her two young children as well as having romantic feelings for two men, her ex-husband and a close friend who joins the FBI. The novel takes place in the US and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Some of the scenes in the story are steamy however, the amount of thrills that I experienced particularly close to the end of the novel in a stand-off involving lives on the line made me want to keep on reading until the end. The relationships and hidden secrets between all of the main characters kept the action going with twists and turns hidden around every corner. The mystery of Adelia’s half sister Olivia created friction throughout. Overall, not quite the type of book I would normally pick up but could not fault the writing at all. 4/5 stars.
