Here’s another top 10 list and this time, it will be made up of Kindle book reads that are free. I know that the prices of the books may change but as of now, these books are all free to purchase on Amazon Kindle for no cash whatsoever. This list will be made up of both Adult Fiction and YA Fiction so I hope that you enjoy reading! The list will be in a random order. The release dates for all of these books are random so from 2012 onwards most likely.
1, Emerge by Heather Sunseri.
This is a YA Dystopian Romance and I love reading Dystopia books. Heather is the author of the Mindspeak series which I started reading a while back. This is the first book in a brand new series and is free currently on Amazon at the moment. Here’s the blurb from Amazon:
Six years ago, a highly contagious virus wiped out more than ninety-nine percent of the country’s population. The only person to contract the virus and survive, Cricket fled her identity and the safety of New Caelum, an airtight city. Now eighteen, she watches the city where the wealthy cocooned from the devastating outbreak. When the city’s rumbling incinerator wakes her one night while she and her friends are camping just beyond the city walls, she alone knows what the fiery machine means: the lethal virus is back.
Only eighteen, Westlin Layne is already being groomed to succeed his mother as New Caelum’s next president. Suddenly West’s sister develops symptoms of the deadly virus thought to be eradicated years ago. Placed under quarantine, the president confesses to West a long-held secret: Christina Black, West’s childhood friend and first love, survived the virus, and her body alone holds the precious antibodies to save his sister.
Now West must leave the city to find Christina. But Cricket has no intention of being found.
I have vibes from Divergent and The Hunger Games and they are both awesome so I know that I will like this one too!
Release date- 3rd March 2015
2, Deadly Crush by Ashley Stoyanoff.
This is the first book in the Deadly Trilogy and it is a YA Werewolf series. Now, to be honest, I don’t read a lot of werewolf stories since I didn’t really understand them very well. However, I was attracted to this one simply because of the cover, I really like it. It gives off that mysterious look and makes you want to discover just exactly what happens in the story. Here’s the blurb from Amazon:
Dog Mountain is just like any other small town — peaceful and uneventful. Well, that is if peaceful means wolves howling all night, and uneventful means it’s overrun by pesky werewolves, then yes, Dog Mountain is just your average small town.
Jade Shaw has spent the last two years avoiding the pack. But when Aidan Collins moves to town, avoiding the dogs doesn’t seem possible. The pack wants him just as much as she does.
Determined to keep him out of the pack’s grasp, Jade does everything she can to gain his attention. Little does she know, Aidan is in deeper with the pack than she could have imagined, and competing for his attention is a deadly game, one she may not want to win.
Release date: 22nd August 2013
3, The Faerie Guardian by Rachel Morgan.
This is the first book in the Creepy Hollow series, a YA full of fantasy, magic and adventure. The cover is gorgeous plus the blurb really enticed me in. Here it is from Amazon:
Enter a hidden world of magic, mystery, action and romance …
Seventeen-year-old Violet Fairdale has one job: protect humans from dangerous magical creatures. It’s a job she’s good at—until her latest assignment, a cute human guy who can somehow see through her faerie glamour, follows her into the fae realm. Now she’s broken Guild law and risked her future as the top graduate of her class.
The last thing Vi wants to do is spend any more time with the guy who got her into this mess, but the Guild requires that she return Nate to his home and make him forget everything he’s discovered of the fae realm. Easy, right? Not when you factor in evil faeries, long-lost family members, and inconvenient feelings of the romantic kind. Vi is about to find herself tangled up in a dangerous plot—and it’ll take all her training to get out alive.
Perfect for fans of The Mortal Instruments, Unenchanted, and Graceling.
Release date: 23rd February 2015 (This is for the 2nd edition of the book)
4, The Institute by Kayla Howarth.
This is the first book in The Institute Series and it looks so good. One of my type of reads, a blurb which got my heart racing with excitement and it’s free. A YA Fantasy series. Here’s the blurb from Amazon:
Living in constant fear. Always looking over your shoulder. The source of your fear? The Institute.
Allira Daniels will do anything to keep her Defective brother safe from the Institute. They claim to protect Defectives, but it’s human nature to fear the unknown. Defectives are dangerous, they possess abilities that no human should be able to. To Allira and the rest of her family, the Institute seems more like a prison than the safe-haven they promote themselves to be. Protecting Shilah from that fate is their number one priority.
When Allira stumbles across a car crash involving two of her school classmates, she ignores all of her father’s warnings of laying low and not drawing attention to herself. By doing so, she may have just caught the eye of the Institute. She’s not Defective, but what seventeen-year-old girl has the ability to pull two teenage boys away from a fiery rubble and walk away without a scratch? It would definitely be seen as suspicious.
Allira and her family need to make decisions. Do they stay, or do they flee again? Will they be coming for her? Will her whole family come under investigation? Will they discover Shilah and his ability to predict the future?
Are you Defective? The Institute is coming for you.

5, Crystal Magic by Madeline Freeman.
This is the first book in the YA series Clearwater Witches, set in the town Clearwater in Michigan, USA. And from the series title, you can see that the series does revolve around witches and I’m super excited to read this series, all of the book covers look great and the plotline looks very intriguing. Here’s the blurb from Amazon:

6, Seaside Dreams by Melissa Foster.
“You can always rely on Melissa Foster to deliver a story that’s fresh, emotional and entertaining. Make sure you have all night, because once you start you won’t want to stop reading. Every book’s a winner!” — New York Times Bestselling Author Brenda Novak
“Melissa Foster is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Fated For Love was amazing. It kind of reminds me of Jill Shalvis’ books and they are my benchmark for contemporary romance awesomeness.” –Books Like Breathing (on Fated for Love)
“Like Nora Roberts, Melissa Foster has captivated me with her fantastic, sexy, romantic stories.” K. Winning
IN SEASIDE DREAMS…
Bella Abbascia has returned to Seaside Cottages in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, as she does every summer. Only this year, Bella has more on her mind than sunbathing and skinny-dipping with her girlfriends. She’s quit her job, put her house on the market, and sworn off relationships while she builds a new life in her favorite place on earth. That is, until good-time Bella’s prank takes a bad turn and a sinfully sexy police officer appears on the scene.
Single father and police officer Caden Grant left Boston with his fourteen-year-old son, Evan, after his partner was killed in the line of duty. He hopes to find a safer life in the small resort town of Wellfleet, and when he meets Bella during a night patrol shift, he realizes he’s found the one thing he’d never allowed himself to hope for–or even realized he was missing.
After fourteen years of focusing solely on his son, Caden cannot resist the intense attraction he feels toward beautiful Bella, and Bella’s powerless to fight the heat of their budding romance. But starting over proves more difficult than either of them imagined, and when Evan gets mixed up with the wrong kids, Caden’s loyalty is put to the test. Will he give up everything to protect his son–even Bella?
Just by reading this blurb from Amazon, I was sold. This is an Adult Contemporary Romance which looks great for a summer read.

7, The Rowan Tree by Robert W Fuller.
This has a very interesting plot to it, it’s also a long novel too but that’s a good thing since during those lazy long summer days, the only thing I really want to do is read so that’s what I’ll be doing. The blurb from Amazon:
Rowan Ellway is a young college president; Easter Blue, an impassioned student leader. Upon graduation, she takes a fellowship to Africa, and they lose touch. When, decades later, they meet again, they discover that their prior bond was but a rehearsal for the world stage.
THE ROWAN TREE reaches from the tumultuous 1960s into humanity’s future, encompassing the worlds of politics, sport, ballet, presidential leadership, and world governance. An international cast of characters personifies the catalytic role of love in political change.
Replete with illicit loves, quixotic quests, and inextinguishable hope, THE ROWAN TREE foretells a dignitarian world much as the story of King Arthur and the round table sowed the seeds of democracy.
Release date: 12th January 2013
8, Kaleidoscope Hearts by Claire Contreras.
This is a Contemporary Romance novel about second chances, which people can relate to. I can relate to it, the premise looks good and the reviews on Amazon are positive so why not give it a try? Here’s the blurb from Amazon:
He was my older brother’s best friend.
He was never supposed to be mine.
I thought we would get it out of our system and move on.
One of us did.
One of us left.
Now he’s back, looking at me like he wants to devour me. And all those feelings I’d turned into anger are brewing into something else, something that terrifies me.
He broke my heart last time.
This time he’ll obliterate it.

9, Follow the Crow by B B Griffith.
I saw this in passing on Amazon and was intrigued by the Crows that play a part in this novel. The reviews on Amazon are positive, I can totally see myself reading this one. Here’s the blurb from Amazon:

Caroline Adams is a nurse with a special talent: she sees things others can’t see. She knows that Ben is more than he seems, and that the crows are trying to tell him something.
What the crows know will shed new light on the mystery of Ana’s disappearance, and throw Ben and Caroline into a race against time to find out what happened before they end up vanishing just like she did.

10, Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes by Denise Grover Swank.
This is the first book in a eight book series full of mystery and excitement. I’ve seen this series around for a long time now and I will finally be reading it this year. I’m looking forward to it. Here’s the blurb from Amazon:
“Though much of the book is light-hearted and occasionally outright hilarious, the author sneaks in a few home truths along the way that will hit you where it counts, like how even someone’s best intentions can box you in.” –Everybody Needs a Little Romance
“This was one of those books that I kept telling myself one more page, then I need to put it down. Instead I found myself tearing through the book instead, needing to know the outcome.” –Just Jump Book Reviews
